The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) decided to improve the standard of Forensic Science Laboratory in a meeting held today.

According to details, a high-level meeting of NAB was held under the chairmanship of NAB Justice (retd), Javed Iqbal.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman NAB Hussain Asghar, Prosecutor General Accountability, DG Operations NAB, Directors General of all regional bureaus of NAB through video link.

The meeting reviewed the overall performance of the NAB and also reviewed the references pending before the NAB in various redundant accountability courts across the country.

It was decided at the meeting that in the light of solid evidence, authentic documents and statements of witnesses, the NAB would follow the law with full aptness.

The meeting also reviewed ways to further improve the quality of complaints verification, inquiries and investigations.

The Chairman NAB directed that all resources be utilized to bring the cases to a logical conclusion so that the corrupt elements could be brought to justice in accordance with the law where the law would make its own way.

Chairman NAB said that at present 1230 references of corruption of NAB are being heard in the esteemed accountability courts of the country. The NAB is making serious efforts to eradicate corruption from the country.

Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal said that NAB is a humane institution adding that NAB believes in a corruption-free Pakistan.
