Pakistan conducts successful test flight of indigenously developed Fatah-1

In an impressive firepower display, Pakistan today conducted a successful test flight of indigenously developed Fatah-1, the guided Multi Launch Rocket System that is capable of delivering a conventional Warhead up to a range of 140 km.

According to the Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR):

“Pakistan today conducted a successful test flight of indigenously developed #Fatah-1, Guided Multi Launch Rocket System, capable of delivering a conventional Warhead upto a range of 140 km.”

DG ISPR added that:

The Weapon System will give Pak Army capability of precision target engagement deep in enemy territory.

DG ISPR said that:

The President, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and COAS have also congratulated the participating troops and scientists on successful conduct of flight test.

It may be recalled that on December 30th 2020, Pakistan Navy on Wednesday demonstrated combat readiness through Live Weapon Firing of surface-to-air missiles (SAMs). The launched missiles successfully engaged intended targets, a statement issued by the PN said.

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi graced the occasion as chief guest. He expressed satisfaction over operational readiness of Pakistan Navy to defend national maritime interests.

The same day, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) marked a major progress in its national air defence arsenal as it announced beginning the production of the state-of-the-art JF-17 Thunder Block 3 fighter jets, while also acquiring 14 dual-seat JF-17 aircraft. On the occasion 14 dual-seat aircraft, manufactured with Pak-China cooperation were also handed over to the PAF. These will also be used for trainings.
