The Foreign Office spokesman said that Pakistan will respond to India’s misleading and false news campaign by telling the truth to the world and will thwart India’s negative propaganda through its concrete diplomacy.

During a weekly briefing at the Foreign Office, Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry said, “We have presented to the international community documents containing solid and irreparable evidence of India’s involvement in terrorism in Pakistan.”

He said that India should remember that Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies were fully prepared to thwart India’s nefarious intentions and Pakistan would respond to any Indian adventure with full military force.

Regarding India’s accession to the UN Security Council as a non-permanent member, the spokesperson said that it was astonishing that India was present in the UN body whose resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir were passed in New Delhi, last. Has been running continuously for 70 years.

He said that India has been oppressing the Kashmiris and denying them their inalienable right to self-determination, which has been guaranteed by the UN Security Council under various resolutions.

He said India’s aggressive actions were a threat to peace and security in the region and the world, adding that the United Nations was trying to cover up ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) and deliberately target civilians. The U.S. military observer group continues to block access.

Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry expressed confidence that the other responsible member states of the Security Council were well aware of these facts and would not allow India to misuse its position as a non-permanent member of the Council.

‘Baseless allegations are an attempt to weaken Pakistan’s role in the Afghan peace process’, he said.

Referring to the inter-Afghan talks, he said that Pakistan was committed to the Afghan peace process and would provide all possible assistance to move it forward.

The spokesman strongly denied the baseless, false and fictitious allegations made by the first vice president of Afghanistan, Amrullah Saleh, in a Facebook post about the illegal transfer of material from Pakistan.

Efforts are being made to weaken Pakistan’s role in the Afghan peace process to bring lasting peace to Afghanistan, while Pakistan’s role in the Afghan peace process is being appreciated internationally, he said.
