The government which claims to advance in technology has started blocking the way for it as the Buzdar government abolished free internet facility in Punjab.

It is pertinent to mention here that in the previous period, Punjab WiFi project was launched to provide free Punjab Wi-Fi facility at 200 places in the province.

According to the details provided by the sources, the project was costing Rs. 19.5 million annually.

Under the project, free Wi-Fi was provided to Punjab’s large libraries, colleges, educational institutions and other important government places, including parks and press clubs.

Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar had contracted the coronavirus after which he has isolated himself.

Azhar Mashwani, the chief minister’s focal person for digital media, tweeted on the social networking site, “Usman Buzdar has tested positive for COVID-19.

He had mild symptoms (Fever and Flu) since last night and in self-isolation as per the advice of Doctors. Request for prayers for early recovery.”
