Turbat: Blast near FC check post, deaths Feared

A blast has been reported at a security forces check post in the Cinema Chowk area of Turbat.

According to the media, there are reports of injuries but no deaths. Law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and kicked off a search operation to arrest the culprits.

Rescue officials say that the blast was heard miles away, causing panic and fear among the citizens.

Moreover, the window panes of the nearby buildings were also shattered due to the impact of the blast.

Back in July 2020, a bomb blast ripped through a market in Turbat killing one person and leaving at least eight others injured.

Waheed Murad, a local policeman, told that an improvised explosive device was planted in a motorcycle parked outside an auto workshop in the busy market area of Turbat.

Later Prime Minister Imran Khan strongly condemned the blast in Turbat and expressed grief over the loss of life.

He directed the concerned authorities to provide the best medical treatment to the injured and prayed for their speedy recovery.
