An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad on Wednesday granted seven-day physical remand of the accused in the Usama Satti murder case.

According to details, ATC Judge Justice Jawad-ul-Hassan heard the murder case of a 22-year old student who was allegedly shot by police officials at Srinagar Highway in the federal capital Islamabad.

During the proceedings, the accused were produced before the court. Judge questioned the investigating officer Muhammad Azam about earlier remand, to which he replied that three-day remand was given by court during the previous hearing.

After hearing the arguments, while ordering to include a wireless officer in the interrogation process, the court granted seven-day physical remand of the accused.

According to the initial report of the incident, contrary to the statement of the police personnel, it was revealed that shots were not fired on the tyres and five out of total 17 shots were fired from the front of the car which led to the death of the youth.

Let it be known that according to the released post-mortem report of Usama Satti, was shot six times, with all bullets entering from the back. He received one bullet on the back of his head, one on the left arm, and four bullets on his back.

The post mortem was conducted by senior MLO Dr. Farrukh Kamal and its initial report was then later handed over to the police authorities.

Earlier the federal government formed a judicial commission to investigate the harrowing murder.
