Health insurance cover: PM Imran congratulates KP Govt.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday congratulated the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for making the province first in Pakistan with Universal Health Coverage for all domiciled citizens.

According to the details, the Prime Minister took to twitter and said that 40 million residents of the KP province covered with free health insurance.

Imran Khan wrote:

“Congratulations to KP govt for making KP first province in Pak with Universal Health Coverage for all KP-domiciled citizens. 40,000,000 residents covered with free health insurance. Free treatment upto Rs1,000,000 per family per year in over 400 govt/private hospitals across Pak.”

Prime Minister Imran Khan earlier said that the government was focused on providing the masses with health and education facilities.

Imran Khan said that, “Research around the world shows that those households that even are placed above the poverty line suffer setbacks when they are afflicted with diseases.”

The Premier added that that his government had decided to initiate health insurance free for the masses from DG Khan since it was the most backward area of the province. He promised to provide health insurance to each and every person in Punjab.

“By December, Insha’Allah, every person in Punjab will have health insurance,” he said.
