Lance Naik Tahir Ikram Embraces Martyrdom While Driving UNAMID Vehicle

Formed Police Unit member Lance Naik Tahir Ikram embraced Martyrdom in an accident while driving United Nations-African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) Vehicle.

A statement from Pakistan’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York said that Lance Naik Tahir was attached to the Farm Police Unit of the UN Mission in Darfur. Tahir Ikram was seriously injured in a traffic accident on February 2.

A spokesman for the Pakistan Mission in New York said Lance Tahir had been receiving treatment at the Royal Care Hospital in Khartoum for 19 days.

Lance Naik Tahir Ikram has succumbed to injuries this morning.

Permanent Mission of Pakistan to UN, New York has expressed grief over the martyrdom of Lance Naik Tahir Ikram.
