“Main focus of PTI Govt. is to provide relief to masses,” says PM

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said that the entire focus of the government is to provide relief to the common man.

According to the details, these remarks were made by Imran Khan while chairing a high level meeting in Islamabad.

The meeting reviewed the steps taken to bring down the prices of essential commodities.

The Prime Minister noted that the price of wheat flour affects the poor people the most. Therefore, all administrative measures must be ensured in this regard.

The meeting was informed that the business community is appreciative of the government’s economic policies.

Various proposals were furnished in the meeting to bring down the prices of essential commodities. Apart from the administrative measures, the proposals envisaged use of technology to ensure transparency and discourage exploitation of the growers.

The Prime Minister directed that the proposals be given final shape in order to ensure their implementation.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday directed to issue notices to the owners of sugar mills involved in tax evasion.

During the meeting of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in Islamabad, the Prime Minister expressed frustration over the non-amendment of the law on concealment of tax details.

The Prime Minister said that it was a black law, there will be no double standard in this government, if the tax details of the people are public then why not the owners of sugar mills? It was informed in the meeting that the owners of sugar mills have evaded taxes of Rs 345 billion.

The Prime Minister also directed to install CCTV cameras on the doors of sugar mills in 15 days.
