Naval Chief Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi visited the headquarters of Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) in Karachi.

According to the Pakistan Navy Spokesperson,  on arrival at the headquarters, a guard of honor was presented to the Chief of the Naval Staff.

The Naval Chief was briefed on the duties and operational activities of the Maritime Security Agency at the Maritime Operations Center. Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi also visited the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center at the headquarters.

Naval Chief also met with Maritime Security Agency Officials and appreciated their commitment to perform well managed duties in Pakistan waters.

CNS said that Maritime Security Agency’s efforts to combat illegal activities in the country’s territorial waters are commendable.

Earlier Pakistan Maritime Security Agency rescued three fishing boats and saved 65 people stranded in the sea due to machinery malfunctions.

The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency’s fast response boat, which was at sea on routine patrol, received an emergency call from three boats, “Al Awais Karni”, “Jan-e-Ali” and “Al Ahad”, at different times.

“Al Awais Karni” is from Gwadar while the other two fishing boats that left Karachi for fishing are currently stranded on the high seas due to broken machinery.

The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency’s fast response boat rushed to the rescue and rescued the fishermen while providing food and medical assistance to the fishermen.
