Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday said that open ballot voting is the only way to stop horse trading in the Senate Elections.

According to the details, Prime Minister Imran Khan held consultations on phone over the parliamentary, constitutional and legal matters, including the Senate elections with Dr. Babar Awan, Advisor on Parliamentary Affairs.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that open voting was the only way to stop horse trading in the Senate while those who hijacked the Senate elections were a blot on democracy.

The two leaders also discussed the arrest of opposition leader Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh. Babar Awan expressed concerns over the arrest of Haleem Adil by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan telephoned Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and expressed concern over the health of Haleem Adil Sheikh. Sindh Governor Imran Ismail briefed the Prime Minister on the current situation. On the occasion, the Governor Sindh informed the Prime Minister that Sindh Police under the leadership of IG Sindh was showing impartiality and IG Sindh is involved in political activities.

Prime Minister Imran Khan assured the Governor of Sindh of action against the reported irregularities.
