Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has on Thursday said the establishment of peace in Afghanistan is indispensable for peace in Pakistan.

He was talking to the Special Representative of Afghan President Muhammad Umar Daudzai who called on him in Islamabad today.

During the meeting, Intra-Afghan dialogue, regional situation and matters of mutual interest came under discussion.

The Foreign Minister said Pakistan wants a political solution to the Afghan issue through a comprehensive dialogue process.

Expressing concern of Pakistan over violence incidents in Afghanistan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi emphasized the need that all parties should play role in furthering the process of negotiations while reducing the violence.

He said Pakistan in its efforts as shared responsibility will continue to play a conciliatory role.

On the other hand, the Foreign Minister said that the economic ties between Pakistan and Egypt are growing and will further strengthen bilateral relations.

Talking to Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to Cairo Sajid Bilal in Islamabad, FM Qureshi expressed hope that the bilateral relations will further boost during his term as Ambassador.

The Minister gave directions to the Ambassador-designate about Pakistan’s diplomatic priorities, including economic diplomacy.
