The Election Tribunal has rejected Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Pervaiz Rasheed’s review application and disqualified him from contesting the Senate Elections.
According to the details, the verdict was issued by single member bench of Justice Shahid Waheed following the conclusion of arguments.
In his appeal, the PML-N leader stated that the returning officer of the ECP unlawfully rejected the nomination papers and he was ready to deposit Rs. 9.5 million to the administration of the Punjab House as required by ECP, but he did not receive the related bank details.
Pervaiz Rasheed had earlier challenged the Election Commission of Pakistan’ (ECP) decision to reject his nomination papers for the forthcoming Senate polls in Lahore High Court (LHC) Election Tribunal after the electoral body had rejected his nomination papers.
