Promotion of tourism will provide employment to youth, says PM

Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched Al-Beruni Radius, a tourism project for the revival of Pakistan’s heritage on Sunday.

According to the details, the project was undertaken as part of the Prime Minister’s vision to promote tourism in line with the National Tourism Strategy 2020-30.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Zulfiqar Hussain Bukhari is briefing the Prime Minister about the Tourism project.

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Khan Buzdar, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhary Fawad Hussain are accompanying the Prime Minister.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the promotion of tourism will provide employment to the youth. Imran Khan added that the Tourism is made successful by the locals as this industry produces most jobs than any sector.

The site’s archeological significance dates back to 11th century when famous scholar Abu Rehan Al-Beruni during his stay quantified the circumference of the Earth.

Al-Beruni later wrote a famous book about the region and mentioned Nandana as a great center of learning.

The historical Nandana Fort is located in tehsil Pind Dadan Khan of district Jhelum.
