‘Swift Retort’ proved the operational superiority of PAF, says Air Chief

Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan on Wednesday said that Pakistan will soon get a new Air Defense System.

According to the details, addressing today, Chief of the Air Staff Mujahid Anwar Khan said that the new AD system will be inducted in Pakistan Air Force (PAF) this year.

He said that the PAF will celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the Mirage aircraft on 25 February 2021. Moreover he said that the JF-17 Block III will be inducted/operationalized by the end of 2021 or start of 2022.

The ACM recalled how the planning and execution of the operation was undertaken and praised the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

He said that “Operation Swift retort proved Pakistan’s aerial power, Pakistan chose the time, targets, aircraft and weapons.”

He further said on 26 February, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attempted to use the IAF for political gains.

Air Chief Marshall said that India’s belligerent attitude can destabilise the power dynamics and strategic stability in the region. Air power is the most important aspect of modern warfare. Swift Retort proved the operational and psychological superiority of the PAF.

Air Chief Marshall Mujahid Anwar Khan said that Pakistan’s civil and military leadership decided the objectives of Operation Swift Retort.

India’s massive defence spending and equipment procurement is destabilizing the stability in the region. Pakistan has no other choice than to take necessary measures in the interest of regional. He further said that in 2047, the entirety of PAF will be composed of stealth platforms and PAF will have completed its transition into a “next generation air force”.
