Chief of Air Staff, Sri Lankan Defence Secretary exchange views on bilateral cooperation

Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan and Sri Lanka’s Defence Secretary Rt. General G.D.H. Kamal Gunaratne held a meeting in Colombo here on Saturday.

Both the leaders discussed to further enhance bilateral relations during the meeting and also exchanged views on matters related to mutual interest.

The Sri Lankan Defence Secretary, while talking to the Air Chief, said that both countries have agreed to fight against regional and international issues mutually.

Kamal Gunaratne also expressed gratefulness to Air Marshal for attending the 70th Anniversary Celebrations of Sri Lankan Air Force.

However, Mujahid Anwar Khan lauded the tireless efforts of Sri Lankan military forces in their fight against terrorism. He also vowed to stand tall like a pillar for further support and cooperation from Pakistan.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan held a one-on-one meeting with Sri Lankan counterpart Mahinda Rajapaksa and President of Sri Lanka Gotabaya Rajapaksa and had discussed boosting trade ties between the two countries.
