CM Punjab directs administration to ensure strict compliance of COVID-19 SOPs

Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday directed the administration to strictly ensure the compliance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to prevent the coronavirus spread.

According to the details, Usman Buzdar in his statement termed the current wave of coronavirus in Pakistan as more dangerous than the previous one, adding that people must not take the circumstances lightly as their lives could be at stake.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on the Eradication of Corona and expressed concern over the increase in the number of patients in Lahore and other districts.

In the meeting it was decided that markets after Maghrib prayers will be closed. Whereas bakeries, medical stores and tandoors will be exempted from this prohibition.

Moreover, holding marriage in marquees and marriage halls will be banned for two weeks. According to the decision, only takeaway will be allowed from restaurants and the meeting further approved to close down shrines and cinema halls for two weeks.
