COVID-19: After NA, the Senate Secretariat closed for three days

After National Assembly, the offices of the Senate Secretariat have also been closed due to the rising number of coronavirus infections.

According to the details, all Senate Secretariat offices will be disinfected during this period.

A notification has also been issued in this regard according to which, the offices will be closed till March 17th, whereas the offices will be reopened from March 18 only with 50 percent attendance.

The staff of the NA Secretariat has also been directed to ensure their availability on the phone.

Moreover, according to the notification, wearing masks in the secretariat has been declared mandatory while shaking hands, hugging each other is prohibited amid coronavirus fears.

The employees have been directed to strictly follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) designed to counter the spread of the deadly virus.

On the other hand, 32 more deaths and 2664 new cases of Covid-19 were reported across the country over the last 24 hours. According to the latest statistics of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 570,571 people have so far been recovered from the disease.
