Federal Government will soon begin an education stipend initiative for secondary education. The initiative will be carried out under the Ehsaas-e-Taleem program.

As per the details, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Social Protection Dr. Sania Nishtar was taking part in a meeting in Islamabad. She said that Waseela-e-Taleem is being expanded to secondary education level, aiming to tackle very low enrollment rates.

According to the latest updates, 18.7 million out-of-school children, in the age group 6 to 16 in Pakistan.

Ehsaas program benefited half of population in 2020, report

The Ehsaas program has benefitted around half of Pakistan’s population amid the coronavirus crisis last year.

An annual report has been compiled by Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Division according to which the Ehsaas program continues to empower the weakest segments of society through its multi-faceted initiatives.

The report also mentioned that many transformative initiatives and policy reforms have effectively been implemented nationwide since the launch of Ehsaas as an umbrella program in 2019 by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
