The government intends to convert Balochistan’s Charna Island into a “National Marine Park”.

According to sources, SAPM on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam has given a report to Prime Minister Imran Khan in this regard.

The premier has asked the concerned authorities to make arrangements for turning Charna Island into a ‘Marine Park’.

As per the PM’s directives, the SAPM on Climate Change stepped out to visit the Island. However, he will thoroughly review the situation there and will also receive undersea pictures taken.

Charna Island is situated at the boundary between the provinces of Balochistan and Sindh and is around 9 km west of the orifice of the Hub River called “Manjhar Beach”.
