Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed will meet Prime Minister Imran Khan today in Islamabad.

As per the details, the premier will be briefed about the measures to deal with Pakistan Democratic Movement’s long march.

In the federal cabinet meeting, the cabinet will discuss a 15-point agenda.

Sources said that the leaders will discuss the appointment of the managing director of the National Book Foundation. Moreover, approval of the issuance of licenses for prohibited weapons will also be discussed.

Apart from that, the approval of the additional charge of the Karachi Port Trust chairman is also predicted.

Furthermore, the attendees are likely to discuss the approval of additional charge of the chief executive officer (CEO) of Sindh Infrastructure Development Company. Implementation of gas development schemes will also be reviewed.

Apart from that, the amendments to the Rules of Business, 1973 are likely to be discussed as well.

Above all, the Examination division will also brief the cabinet whereas the guidelines for the use of Social Welfare Fund, 2021 are likely to be approved. A briefing will also be given on the progress of the appointment of heads of institutions. March 10 decision of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) will also be amended.
