Maryam’s Appearance: Punjab Govt. Approves NAB’s request to declare Lahore office as ‘red zone’

The Punjab government on Tuesday approved the request of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to provide security and declare it a red zone.

According to the details, the anti-graft body requested the Punjab government declare its Lahore office as a red zone on March 25 and 26 due to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-president Maryam Nawaz’s hearing.

As per reports, the approval has been given to deploy Rangers and Police in NAB Office and its environs on March 25 and 26, while the Punjab government has also written a letter to the Home Ministry seeking the services of Rangers.

Provincial Law Minister Raja Basharat has said that no one will be allowed to violate the law and strict action will be taken against the violators.

It may be mentioned that NAB Lahore has summoned Maryam Nawaz on March 26 and in this regard NAB had requested the Punjab Home Department to deploy Rangers, police and declare NAB as a red zone to control the law and order situation.
