Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony Maulana Tahir Ashrafi on Wednesday announced that mosques will remain open across Pakistan during the holy month of Ramadan as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

According to the details, while talking to the media persons in Islamabad today, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony has tremendously improved with the Arab countries under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan will soon visit Saudi Arabia on the invitation extended by the Saudi Crown Prince. He said Kuwait has also opened its doors for Pakistani workers.

Regarding the Coronavirus situation, the special assistant said the mosques will remain open during the holy month of Ramadan as per the SOPs.

The Special Assistant said there is a decree of religious scholars that the people should get themselves vaccinated against COVID-19.

It is worth mentioning here that 78 more deaths due to Coronavirus have been reported across the country over the last 24 hours.

According to the latest statistics issued by National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 4,757 new positive cases have been reported in the country after conducting tests of 43,965 people during the same period. Moreover, the death toll due to the COVID-19 pandemic has now reached 14,434 while the number of active cases is 50,397. As many as 603,126 patients have been recovered from the disease since the outbreak.
