Pakistan has proposed a Global compact for Women Empowerment at the United Nations.

As per the details, the Global Compact is based on an action plan for promoting their participation in decision-making in public life.

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Munir Akram had presented the proposal as he was addressing a virtual 65th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women.

According to details, Munir Akram presented significant measures to eliminate all types of violence against women.

He hoped that the international community would rise to the challenge and ensure that half of the world’s population is never again left behind.
