PM House refutes rumors of appointing Shaukat Tareen as ‘finance adviser’

Prime Minister House on Wednesday has refuted the rumors of appointing Pakistani banker and former finance minister Shaukat Tareen as finance adviser.

According to the details, in a statement today, the PM house has rejected all the rumors of appointing Shaukat Tareen as Imran Khan’s aide on finance.

The statement said that all the reports claiming Shaukat Tareen to be appointed aide to Imran Khan on finance are false and based on lies.

Shaukat Tareen was appointed adviser to the finance ministry of Pakistan with a status of federal minister, on 7 October 2008.

On 27 July 2009, he was elected senator unopposed from Sindh and subsequently, he was elevated to finance minister of Pakistan.

Shaukat Tareen is the member of the economic and finance committee since 18 April 2019.
