President Arif Alvi Contracts Coronavirus; Prays For All Covid Affectees

President Dr Arif Alvi has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus here on Monday (today).

Taking to Twitter, the President wrote, “I have tested positive for Covid-19. May Allah have mercy on all Covid affectees. Had 1st dose of vaccine،but antibodies start developing after 2nd dose that was due in a week. Please continue to be careful.”

President Alvi has also prayed for all the COVID-19 affectees and urged the masses to stay very careful as the new wave is more serious than the previous two.

Earlier, the President of Pakistan and First Lady Samina Alvi had received shots of the COVID-19 vaccine doses in Islamabad.

President Dr. Arif Alvi along with his wife Samina Arif Alvi had reached Tarlai Vaccination Center for COVID-19 vaccine doses.

He had said that the vaccine is being administered to senior citizens in Pakistan as per age categories.

The President said that he got himself registered on the Helpline 1166 and received the shots as per turn.

Dr Arif Alvi said that the government has introduced an easy and the best mechanism to avoid long queues.

The President had advised the people that they should continue wearing face masks, frequent hand washing, and maintaining social distancing to curb the virus spread.

Note that Prime Minsiter Imran Khan had also contracted COVID-19 on March 20th two days after he received the Coronavirus vaccine dose.

According to the ministry of health services, Prime Minister Imran Khan was not fully vaccinated when he contracted the virus.

He only got the 1st dose and merely two days ago which is too soon for ANY vaccine to become effective. Anti-bodies develop 2-3 weeks after the 2nd dose of 2-dose COVID vaccines.

Earlier on March 18, Prime Minister Imran Khan had received his first dose of COVID-19 against the deadly disease.
