Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed has predicted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Hafeez Sheikh will win the Senate election today.

As per the details, he said that today is the day of democracy. He added that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s candidate Hafeez Sheikh will gain victory in the election.

He also suggested that we must move to electoral reforms so that democracy will be made strong.

Moreover, he also said that the announcement for win and loss will be made in 7 to 8 hours.

Apart from that, he said that nobody is talking about provinces and only Islamabad’s election is remaining.

Senate election 2021 kicks off today as polling on 37 vacant seats of Senate has begun on Wednesday (today).

As per the details, polling has begun at 9 am and will end at 5 pm without any break.

Sources said that polling will begin at the Parliament House Islamabad and the provincial assemblies of Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The lawmakers of the National Assembly have begun reaching the Parliament House to cast votes. Shafiq Arain of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was the first one to cast votes.

Two Senators will be elected from the federal capital, eleven from Sindh and twelve each from Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
