Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that those who honour currency notes have ultimately faced defeat in the end.

According to details, Chairman Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi arrived at the Senate House where newly elected Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani welcomed the Foreign Minister.

During the meeting, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani thanked Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi for his visit.

The Foreign Minister congratulated Sadiq Sanjarani on his re-election as Chairman Senate.

On the occasion, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that his victory was a victory of the ideology of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi further said that the failure of the PDM, the corrupt alliance, made it clear that those who respect the currency notes are ultimately doomed to defeat.

Yesterday, Government candidate Sadiq Sanjrani was re-elected chairman of the Senate, while Mirza Muhammad Afridi was elected deputy chairman, while Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) candidates Yousuf Raza Gilani and Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri have faced defeat.

98 members of the Upper House voted for the election of Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Senate. Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani got 48 votes while his opponent Yousuf Raza Gilani got 42 votes and 7 votes were rejected. And one vote was rejected for marking both candidates.

In addition, Mirza Mohammad Afridi got 54 votes for the Deputy Chairman Senate seat while Abdul Ghafoor Haideri got 44 votes and no vote was rejected.
