UN honors PIA steward for his act of kindness

Touheed Daudpota, a crew member of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), who was spotted soothing a baby on-flight has been honored by a United Nations (UN) body.

According to the details, PIA in its statement said that Touheed Daudpota was declared the ‘He for She’ champion by the UN Women Pakistan, an entity for gender equality and women’s empowerment.

The crew member was honored for displaying compassion, gender sensitivity, reverence and care to a woman passenger, the PIA said while terming the act as upholding long traditions of the national flag carrier.

It merits mentioning here that PIA received appreciation on social media when a picture of a steward calming a crying baby made waves on social media. It happened in PIA’s flight which was going to Karachi from Islamabad.
