COVID-19 Update: Pakistan Death Toll Hits 15,229

Pakistan registered 105 deaths and 5,312 coronavirus infections over the last 24 hours.

According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the total number of deaths from coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 15,229 while the total number of affected people jumped to 710,829.

The number of active cases across the country now stands at 69,811 whereas 625,789 people have been recovered from Coronavirus since outbreak.

The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus was reported in Punjab where 6,851 people lost their lives while 4,521 people died in Sindh, 2,553 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 597 in Islamabad, 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 213 in Balochistan and 391 in Azad Kashmir.

The number of Coronavirus cases reported in Islamabad is 64,173, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa so far reported 96,128, Punjab recorded 243,295 cases, Sindh registered 267,970 cases, Balochistan recorded 20,097 cases, Azad Kashmir reported 14,069 cases and 5,097 people have been affected by Coronavirus in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The National Command and Operations Center has declared 26 districts of Pakistan as high risk areas. Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Mandi Bahauddin, Multan, Okara, Rahim Yar Khan, Rawalpindi, Gujarat, Sheikhupura, Sargodha, Sialkot, Toba Tek Singh, Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Kotli, Peshawar, Swat, Nowshera, Dir Lower, Malakand, Swabi, Charsadda and Haripur are among the high risk districts.
