French embassy advises citizens to leave Pakistan

The French embassy in Pakistan on Thursday advised all French nationals and companies to leave the country following violent anti-France protests this week.

According to the details, the French embassy advised nationals of France to leave Pakistan due to security concerns.

The embassy said in an email to French citizens that, ‘Due to the serious threats to French interests in Pakistan, French nationals and French companies are advised to temporarily leave the country,” Adding that, “The departures will be carried out by existing commercial airlines.”

Earlier today Federal Cabinet approved ban on the hardline political party for killing two policemen, attacking law enforcement forces and disrupting public life through nationwide protests.

This development came after Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed announced that the government of Pakistan has decided to ban hardline political party TLP.

Sheikh Rashid while addressing media announced that keeping in view the party’s recent activities including abduction of policemen and destroying of public property has led the federal government to ban TLP under Anti-Terrorism Act 1997, (11) B.
