‘PM will not allow anyone to go against public interest,’ says Sheikh Rashid

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Sunday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is fighting a war with mafia to provide better living standards to the poor segments of Pakistan.

According to the details, while addressing media today, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that the government will fulfill its promise to bring to light the truth by unmasking all mafia and take strict action against them.

He said that Imran Khan is fighting against the mafia which is creating inflation for the poor. Adding that Pakistan’s economy is improving.

Interior Minister said that Prime Minister will not allow anyone to go against public interest and mint money through graft.

He also added that the sugar scandal and money laundering are subjects of Shahzad Akbar. He would be in a better position to answer that.

He also said that the government will launch an e-passport system by June this year and services of a German company have been acquired for this purpose.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that issuing e-passports is a major development that will ultimately help removing all the hurdles faced by passport seekers in the current system.

While commenting about the peace situation in Pakistan, Sheikh Rashid paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army and said that, ‘Without this great army, the situation would not be less than in Yemen and Libya.’
