Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday (today) will pay an official visit to Lahore.

According to the details, Prime Minister Imran Khan during his visit to Lahore will lay the foundation of the affordable apartments’ project under the flagship Pakistan Housing Scheme.

On Thursday the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of 4,000 low-cost apartments being built under the government’s ambitious Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) at Farash Town near Islamabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan that several initiatives had been taken for wealth creation so that Pakistan could get rid of heavy foreign debts his government had inherited from previous ones.

Imran Khan expressed hope that that the measures being introduced would bring about prosperity in the country.

Imran Khan said that the government has also prepared a plan to convert the slums and equip them with modern facilities including that of sanitation and sewerage.

Prime Minister, in addition to this, expressed satisfaction over increased activity in the construction industry.

He said that growth has also been recorded in the tax collection which indicates the business activity has increased in the country.

Naya Pakistan Housing Program is the flagship project of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government with an aim to provide housing facilities to the homeless population, accelerate economic activity in the country and provide job opportunities to the youth.
