The Government of Sindh on Friday has decided to collect data of people who travelled to Sindh from the United Kingdom (UK) in past 30 days.

According to the details, Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah chaired a meeting of Corona Task Force, in which it was decided to collect data of people who travelled to Sindh from the UK during last month.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Health, Minister of Labor, Minister of Local Government, Legal Adviser, Parliamentary Secretary of Health, Chief Secretary, IG Police, Additional Chief Secretary, WHO officials, and representatives of hospitals.

During the meeting, the WHO officials informed the Chief Minister that Pakistan in the recent months recorded an increase in the UK variant of the novel coronavirus. On which, Murad Ali Shah then directed the relevant authorities to collect data of people who travelled to Sindh from the UK in past 30 days.

Moreover, the Chief Minister said that, ‘we are not in favor of complete lockdown, however; a two weeks ban on inter-provincial transport is suggested to break the chain of the dread virus.’
