Sindh government has announced new timings for schools amid the arrival of Ramadan.

As per the details, a new schedule has been announced that will be followed throughout the month of Ramadan. New timings for schools will be announced after Eid-ul-Fitr.

New timings for primary schools

  • Monday to Thursday (first shift): 7:30 am – 11:30 am

  • Monday to Thursday (second shift): 11:45 am – 2:45 pm
  • Friday (first shift): 7:30am -10:30am
  • Friday (second shift): 10:45am – 1:15pm

New timings for secondary schools

  • Monday to Thursday and Saturday: 8 am – 1:30 pm
  • Friday: 8 am – 12noon

On the other hand, Sindh’s education minister Saeed Ghani chaired a meeting of a steering committee. Members suggested the closure of schools for up to eighth grade. Some members suggested the closure of schools for 15 days.

Saeed Ghani said that the proposals of the committee will be presented to National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) to decide on the issue.
