Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior member Yousaf Raza Gillani on Monday has assured to work with all opposition parties.

He was speaking in the Senate during today’s session. He said that his party has not yet responded to the notice issued by Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).

Gillani added that being a senator is not an easy task as you need to perform your duties with honesty. He mentioned that the senate election was ‘mother of all the election’.

Moreover, Gillani suggested the newly elected members of the Senate learn from the experiences of old members.

Above all, the PPP member mentioned that we have to work together to resolve the issues of the general masses.

Earlier in March, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has heard the petition seeking disqualification of former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani.

The plea was filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) after the senate chairman election. The case was heard by a four-member bench headed by Altaf Ibrahim Qureshi. Central deputy secretary-general of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Farrukh Habib and member of National Assembly (MNA) Maleeka Bukhari appeared before the court.

According to details, Maleeka Ali Bukhari read the transcript of the leaked video of Yousaf Raza Gillani’s son Ali Haider Gillani. She claimed that the process of wasting the vote was explained in the video.
