COAS Bajwa Invites PPP Chairman To His Son’s Valima Ceremony

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has received a telephone call from Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday, according to media reports.

COAS Bajwa has invited Bilawal Bhutto to his son’s valima ceremony. His extending the invitation to the PPP chairman is seen in political circles as a positive gesture.

It is still not known if a similar invitation was extended to the PML’s top leadership or not.

Earlier in 2018, Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari along with President Arif Alvi, former CJP Mian Saqib Nisar, and Prime Minister Imran Khan attended the valid ceremony of Gen. Bajwa’s son.

Envoys of the US, Afghanistan, and the British High Commissioner also attended the function. The function was then held at Army House Rawalpindi.
