Ambassador of the Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan H.E Admiral (retd) Nawaf Bin Said Al-Maliki called on Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to a statement issued by the Media Wing of the Prime Minister’s Office on Friday, during the meeting, the Saudi Ambassador briefed Prime Minister Imran Khan on the topic of the “Middle East Green Initiative” hosted by Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman in October 2021 in Saudi Arabia.

He also formally invited them to attend the summit.

It should be noted that the Middle East Green Initiative was announced by the Saudi Crown Prince earlier this year, which is in line with the Prime Minister’s Clean and Green Pakistan and the 10 billion Tsunami Tree project.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are also working closely together to harmonize their strategies on climate change. The invitation extended to Prime Minister Imran Khan at the summit is a recognition of Pakistan’s leadership role in tackling climate change.
