Young Pakistani mountaineer Shehroze Kashif topped the world’s second highest peak, setting a world record for being the youngest to climb the second highest peak of the world, K2— 8611m.

According to Shehroze’s father Kashif Suliman, Shehroze climbed K2 at 8:10 this morning. Shehroze Kashif, 19, is the youngest climber to climb K2.

His father said that Shehroze Kashif has set a world record at 8,611 meters, with K2 being the second highest peak in the world.

Shehroze Kashif is the first Pakistani mountaineer to climb the world’s highest peak Mount Everest and the fourth youngest climber in the world. ‘The Broad Boy’ climbed Mount Everest on May 11 two months ago.

Lahore-based Shehroze Kashif is also the youngest Pakistani climber to set a recording of climbing Pakistan’s fourth highest peak at 17 years old.
