Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has said that the world tried to make Pakistan a scapegoat for the Afghanistan crisis but failed.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he said, “all security agencies in Pakistan are on alert due to sensitive situation in the region.”

He said that Pakistan has played a key role in bringing the United States and the Taliban to the negotiation table and the services of this country will be written in golden letters in the history of peace.

He said that Imran Khan had tried hard to convince Ashraf Ghani in Uzbekistan but he did not get Imran Khan’s point.

Sheikh Rashid said that “every corrupt man wants to flee the country with looted wealth”.

He said that visas are being issued to those coming from Afghanistan on arrival, 3 buses have been cleared from Torkham today.

“The road from Torkham to Kabul is clear, so we have decided to repatriate all Pakistanis within two days,” he said.

Replying to a question on the occasion of Ashura, we are monitoring the situation in the whole country and thousands of police personnel are deployed in all the gatherings and processions.

In response to another question, he said that the leaders of 4 countries had spoken to Pakistan in the last few days, Pakistan is a Churchill Post and no superpower in the world can bypass it.

He said that it would be up to Prime Minister Imran Khan or the Foreign Ministry to decide whether to recognize the Taliban in Afghanistan or not.

The minister said that the staff and diplomats of the World Bank are being brought by a special plane today and those who will leave for other countries from the airport will be given transit visas by the ministry.
