ISLAMABAD: Condemning the attack on the Sindh House in Islamabad, Pakistan Muslim League-N President and Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif said the government should refrain from lawlessness.
The Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI)’s attack on the Sindh House and its own MNAs was a confession of Prime Minister Imran Khan that he had been defeated, Shehbaz Sharif said in a statement adding that Imran Khan would be held accountable if any political leader or a worker was hurt or a property was damaged.
He said the attacks on MNAs was a conspiracy of “Imran Niazi” to push the country into civil war. He said the collision between the masses to safeguard the sinking politics was a negative, criminal and unconstitutional thought.

The PML-N president said, “Imran Niazi has switched on the container mood of attacking the parliament and other public properties including the PTV building.” He said throwing stones and breaking gates, instead of dealing in the assembly in a constitutional and democratic manner, was a fascist thinking and sign of defeat.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Peoples Party leader Sherry Rehman said Tehreek-I-Insaf (movement for justice) needed to change its name to Tehreek-I-Inteshar (movement for anarchy).
“They are doing everything possible to subvert the rule of law and the constitution to save their government which has lost its mandate and MNAs. Coercion of members will not help, nor will threats to the federation,” she said.
Sherry said unconstitutional methods to delay the vote of no-confidence motion would only make things worse for them and for Pakistan. “But they seem to care little for the country as they drag it thru a crisis of their own making. The more time they take the more members they will lose. Denialism will not save them.
“Yesterday’s attack on the Sindh House was an attack on the federation, make no mistake. Ministers threaten to become suicide bombers and MNAs are let go without an FIR booked. Their ship is sinking, but in creating an extra-constitutional crisis they want to sink Pakistan as well.”
