CTD arrests suspect from Punjab University hostel

LAHORE: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has launched an operation at Punjab University.

According to sources, CTD has arrested the suspect from Punjab University Hostel No. 7 and Room No. 69.

Sources added that the suspect dubbed Barq was arrested while conducting an operation at 8 am, he was staying with Saleem, a history student.

Note that at least four people including three Chinese nationals were killed in a van blast at the Karachi University on Tuesday, confirmed Sindh Police.

Terror outfit Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the suicide attack targeting Chinese nationals in Karachi. In a statement released to the media, it said that the terror act was carried out by the group’s first female attacker.

Whereas, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah expressed determination to deal with the terrorists with full force and is persistent to bring the culprits to justice.

The minister said that he will be visiting Karachi soon on the directives of PM Shehbaz Sharif.
