FM Bilawal receives felicitation call from his Iranian counterpart

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has received a felicitation call from Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

They underscored the importance of fraternal ties between the two countries.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari thanked Iran’s support over the Kashmir issue.

“FM Bilawal Bhutto Zardari received felicitation call from Iranian FM Amir Abdolahian. Underscored importance of fraternal ties. Thanked for Iran’s support on Kashmir and solidarity with Palestine. Iranian FM invited Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to visit Iran who also reciprocated the invitation,” Foreign Office Spokesperson said in tweet.

Meanwhile, Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Syed Mohammad Ali Hosseini called on Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar in Islamabad on Thursday and discussed ways and means to further strengthen bilateral relations.

In her remarks, the minister of state said Pakistan commended Iran’s consistent support on the Kashmir dispute.

She said commonality of views between the two countries on regional and international issues was welcoming.

On February 24, Chief Executive of Pak-Iran Investment Company (PIIC) Abbas Danshiwar had said that the company strives to promote legal trade between brotherly Islamic countries such as Iran.

In this regard, the industrialists and traders were being briefed on the industrial and commercial opportunities available in both the countries and support was being extended to small and medium enterprises so that bilateral trade goals can be achieved.

He had expressed these views while addressing a session held with the officials and members of Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Quetta.
