Imran Khan attracts record audience on Twitter Spaces

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan has made a record on Twitter Spaces by attracting record number of audience on the platform.

Live audio conversations are held on Twitter Spaces.

In a tweet, South Asia Index mentioned top three Spaces in Twitter history with Imran Khan’s April 20 speech leading the list with more than 160,000 people, followed by K-POP Lyrical Space having over 44,000 audience and Salvador Bill Analysis over 27,000.

South Asia Index said, “More than 535K people have turned in to Twitter Space of Pakistan former PM Imran Khan, with highest concurrent listeners at 164K.”

A Twitter user with the name of meddy tweets, who calls himself a Pakistani data scientist, said around 1.3 million people listened to or watched Imran Khan’s live Q/A session on (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram).

Senior PTI leader Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said at a time when “the stupid government” was shutting down the digital media wing, Imran Khan had made social media such an influential medium that the general media had become insignificant. “Today, more than one million people talked to Imran Khan on all social media platforms. #امپورٹڈ_حکومت_نامنظور ” he tweeted.
