LAHORE: The spokesperson of Lahore Police on Tuesday said Dua Zehra Kazmi and her husband were at the district police officer Okara’s office in Okara and a police team was bringing them to Lahore.

He said Karachi Police had been relayed about Dua Zehra’s whereabouts.

“Special teams of the Lahore Police continued their operation in search of the girl throughout the night,” he said adding that the police were making every possible cooperation with the Karachi Police, as per directions of the Punjab inspector general.

While in police custody, Dua Zhera again admitted that she married with Zaheer Ahmed out of her own free will.

“I came here myself and nobody kidnapped me. I want to live with Zaheer Ahmed and don’t want to return home. I did not bring any valuable item from home,” she said.

In another video, she had asked her parents, “For God’s sake, do not bother me. I am very happy with my husband.” She had said that her parents used to torture her and forced her to marry somebody else for which she did not agree. She had also claimed that she was 18 years old.

The girl allegedly 14-year-old went missing on April 16 and the police started the hunt when a video request by her parents popped up on social media.

Initially, the case appeared to be of abduction and as the parents claimed their daughter went missing from the home.

However, what we call as the biggest breakthrough in the case it appeared that the girl left her home willingly to tie the knot with Zaheer Ahmed in Lahore.
