Lahore: After the raid launched by the Punjab Police on the houses of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Leaders and workers to stop the long march, Speaker of Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi strongly condemned the act and said that Police terrorism at the homes of former federal minister Hamada Zahir, former provincial minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, and Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed and other leader’s is showing the bafflement of fake rulers.

 

He said having this position it is my responsibility to protect the ultimate rights of MPAs. Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi asked raid victims to record video as proof so that they can show those clips inside the assembly and in the court as evidence of violation of fundamental rights.

 

Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi pointed Sharif family and said no matter how hard the Sharif family and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) try to obstruct the march, they would never be succeeded.

He said that cruelly stopping peaceful protests proves the incompetence of Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz, it does not matter how hard they try they can not stop the power show. Roadblocks cannot stop public sentiment, leaders and workers will reach Islamabad in any case, he added.
