Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan released a statement on his Twitter account after the crackdown on PTI leaders by Punjab Police. The PTI’s leader said that peaceful protest is the right of citizens and this crackdown is raising serious questions about the government.

The former prime minister expressed his stance on Pakistan Muslim Leauge-Nawaz (PML-N) government’s crackdown on PTI leaders and activists. Imran Khan said that the brutal raids against workers and leaders in Punjab and Islamabad have once again shown us what we were aware of that whenever power is detained, the PML-N goes for fascism.

In his Tweet, he warned the government and said that these undemocratic and brutal measures would lead to further turmoil in the economic situation and push the country towards fascism.
