Meeting on transfer of FIA officers

The meeting on the First Information Report (FIR) regarding the transfer of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officers in connection to the case of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Minister of Punjab Hamza Shehbaz.

As per the FIA report, many cases were covered through frivolous measures. Justice Ejaz-ul-Haq said the Law Ministry has suspended FIA prosecutors including Sikandar Zulqarnain on May 13, they have been suspended on the ground of non-appearance in two hearings of the case.

Justice Ejaz-ul-Haq said facts are distorted to replace prosecutors and the investigating officer was also transferred due to illness.

Whereas, Justice Muneeb Akhtar asked, were the prosecutors suspended for failing to appear at the hearings after the new government was formed?

Previously Hamza Shahbaz Sharif appreciated the Police for working attentively in the province of around 12 crore people regarding the law and order situation. He said vehicles were wrecked during the long march, they were set on fire and the marchers were ignoring Supreme Court’s order.

On the other hand, Shehbaz Sharif will be announcing a relief package and he will be explaining the reasons for the massive rise in petrol and petroleum products. The Prime Minister is going to highlight current economic conditions today.
