Punjab CM directs action against robber who raped teenager girl

PATTOKI: Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz on Thursday directed police to bring the suspect, who raped a teenager girl during a robbery incident in Pattoki, to justice.

Hamza Shahbaz said this while visiting house of the 15-year-old victim girl, Samreen Bibi, in Kot Khokhar area. He said the incident of physical abuse of the girl during robbery was extremely sad. He met the victim and her family and assured them of complete justice.

“All the resources would be utilized to bring the culprits to justice,” he said.

The Punjab inspector general of police was also accompanying the chief minister.

On February 14, a woman was allegedly gang-raped at gunpoint during a robbery bid in Karachi’s Surjani Town, BOL News had reported.

The horrifying incident had taken place in Sujrani Town Sector 7-A, where three suspected robbers had barged into the house and made the family members hostage at gunpoint.

After looting valuables, the robbers had held the girl at gunpoint and gang-raped her. The muggers had fled the crime scene safely, according to police, who had added that efforts were being made to apprehend those responsible for the incident.
