Seven die, 10 injured after two tourist coasters collide in Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD: At least seven people died and 10 others got injured in a collision of two tourist coasters in Donga Gali area of Abbottabad on Monday.

According to police, one coaster fell into a deep ravine after the collision. Rescue operation is underway in search of dead bodies and injured in the area.

The dead injured have been shifted to the Civil Hospital Murree for autopsy and treatment respectively.

On May 14, at least six labourers were killed and three others sustained injures in a road accident on RCD Highway near Ornach area of Khuzdar district.

According to the Balochistan Levies officials, a truck loaded with straw, while on its way from Wadh to Karachi, had hit a parked tanker at Rostumabad locality of Ornach. As a result, six people were killed on the spot and three others sustained injures.

The Rescue 1122 and Balochistan Levies personnel had rushed to the spot soon after the incident and cordoned off the area. Deceased and injured were shifted to Lasbela for treatment where serious injured were referred to Karachi for better treatment.

According to the hospital sources the deceased were identified as Imam Din, Ali Nawaz, Miro, Berao and Shaho. All of them belonged to Tando Adam, Sindh.

The Balohcitan Levies officials had said the cause of the accident was brake failure of the truck. The Balochistan Levies was investigating the matter.

On November 29, 2021, at least three people were killed and nine others wounded in a road accident near Landhi Bacha Jail in Karachi.
